For this Archive biographical entries from encyclopedias, manuals, calendars, almanacs, articles, and from newspapers and journals scattered around the world have been cumulated. Thus quick and easy access is facilitated to a wealth of information, much of which could previously only be found with great effort.The GBA provides a uniquely broad survey of the many areas of Greek life, with biographies of emperors, aristocrats, freedom fighters, patriarchs, metropolitans, clerics, military officers, poets, artists, scientists and merchants -- both the ruling class and the ordinary people of what was once a great empire have been brought together here.
